According to the Hollywood Reporter Thursday, Michael Jackson's documentary film 'This Is It' earned $ 20.1 million at the US box office on the very first full day of release. The film earned a $12.7 million internationally and another $7.4 million in the US, the report said.
This film was made out of a 100 hours of rehearsal footage, into a 90 minute documentary. It has received immmense positive reviews and more and more fans are crowding to see this wonder one more time.
Jackson is said to be the year's top earning celebrity, though he is no more. He has earned $90 million in the year, with another $72 million since his death, as reported by the Forbes magazine. Michael's father, Joe Jackson, intends to build a tribute museum to the star son in his hometown of Gary, Indiana. Along with Gary mayor Rudy Clay, he plans to to build museum, hotel and performing arts centre.
